Inspiration for the story.
Over the last several years, I’ve been playing with a young adult mystery novel that was close to my heart. After querying numerous agents and publishers, I’d sort of relegated the story to the “Under the Bed” file where stories go that, for whatever reason, will never see publication.
But a friend, believing in the story, when I’d pretty much given up, submitted it to an editor who read it, liked it and thought the story worthy of publication.
All to say, that it takes a village to write a story, and the support of fellow writers and people who believe in you are invaluable.

About the Author.
Kathy enjoys writing stories with wounded heroes and feisty heroines. She writes contemporary romance, historical fiction, and young adult, in all lengths from short story to novel. She was a finalist in the Utah/Salt Lake RWA Hearts of the West Contest and a winner of the Northwest Houston RWA Lone Star Writing Competition. 
Kathy is also a certified book coach, helping writers bring their vision to life. Specializing in empowering new writers, she offers a variety of coaching packages tailored to give writers the tools they’ll need to move forward on their own.
