Inspiration for  the story.
I lived near Camden, South Carolina for about a decade, and this beautiful place—rich in Colonial American history—seemed the perfect setting for If Ever in Love. This is my first published novel, and I began plotting the story and mapping out the characters in 2019. Over the course of the next two years, I wrote, revised, and edited with a wonderful group of beta readers and fellow writers. I realized my dream in October 2021 when The Wild Rose Press offered me a publishing contract. We plan for this to be a three book series, and I’m close to finishing the first draft of the second book right now. I hope readers will enjoy this story of unexpected love, survival during a rugged period of American history, and the enduring bonds of family.

I enjoy spending time with my family, trying out new recipes, and relaxing on my back porch to read and write. These days I take walks around my neighborhood, but when I was sixteen, I hiked the Grand Canyon with a group of friends. I love watching television dramas (in no special order: Stranger Things, Succession, The Gilded Age, The Last Kingdom, Bridgerton, 1883, Outlander, Poldark, Yellowstone, Outer Banks, and Peaky Blinders) and reading a great romance book.
