Inspiration
I’ve heard that you’re supposed to write about things you’re familiar with – but I prefer to write about things I have no experience with. My stories are heavy on magic and mythical creatures even though I’ve never run into a vampire in a dark alley at night, or the dark prince of Fairy in a grocery store parking lot (but I have my fingers crossed it will happen one day). I have a pretty good knowledge base when it comes to yard work, daily chores and talking to my house plants, but as soon as I sit down at the keyboard, my brain starts screaming about vampires, shifters, fairies and all the fantastical adventures they need to have. With so many hours of my life spent creating happily ever after for these imaginary creatures, maybe their stories have become the very thing I’m most familiar with? If so, I’m good with that.

Born and raised on the beautiful Canadian prairies, Everlyn prefers to spend her time outdoors with her family kayaking, skating, fishing, and hunting. She loves reading and writing about vampires, witches, fae and zombies that get to find their own version of happily ever after.
