Take A Peek Through the Window with today's Guest, C. B. Clark

Who: Twisted Lies is my seventh romantic suspense novel published by The Wild Rose Press. When I’m not busy traveling around the globe or hiking and camping in the wilderness near my home in northern British Columbia, I can be found in front of my laptop plotting the next story. 
Interests: I enjoy hiking, canoeing, and snowshoeing with my husband and dog in the beautiful back country of northern British Columbia. Recently, we flew (dog included) in a small float plane into the rugged Chilcotin mountains and spent a glorious week hiking in the alpine, surrounded by stunning views of glaciers, azure lakes, wildflower-filled meadows, and tumbling waterfalls. 
Network: Living in a small rural community limits face-to-face interactions with fellow authors, but I’ve made many online connections. One thing I’ve learned in my writing journey is that other authors are more than willing to help. They celebrate the highs and commiserate with you on the lows. 
Desk: I write in my son’s old bedroom on his scarred school desk. A steaming cup of tea is on the desk, old time country music is playing in the background, and Penny, my Brittany dog, is lying on the bed. The desk and nearby wall are covered with multi-colored sticky notes where I’ve scrawled reminders and plot points. There’s also a small bulletin board on the wall with my favorite family photos pinned. A stack of reference books is on the shelf. My favorite go-to book is The Emotion Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglish. 
Outrageous: I’ve watched every single Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise episode. It’s my guilty secret. Watching the show is like a car accident. You know you shouldn’t look, but you just can’t turn away. 
Window: We live in the country, so when I look out my window I see a dense forest with towering fir trees, blooming wildflowers, and lush green plants. I often spot squirrels, deer, grouse, or a bear passing through. Once a great horned owl perched on the tree outside. This view of nature soothes my soul and encourages my creativity.
